This is one of the coolest decks I have ever seen (or built!). After removing a small deck to the side of the house, we poured a new parking pad and footings, then constructed an incredible sturdy framework of treated lumber about 8' from ground level. Using special brackets, 4" clear cedar was installed for the decking with no visible screws or nails. The resulting surface is clean and easy to maintain. Stainless steel cabling was used for the railing and french doors were added to access the deck from the living room. This deck greatly added to the active living space of this home, as well as creating a covered area to park during the rainy season.
