Shirey Contracting, Inc.Seattle, Washington
Adding just 100 square feet to this 50 year old architecturally designed home gave the owners the whirlpool tub and walk-in closet they desired. Taking advantage of the Ralph Anderson Architect design with his signature generous eves, the exterior walls were moved without having to alter the roofline. Unique features of the remodel include a radius wall which helps maintain ceiling height and the new shower design which actually incorporates a window wall into the shower itself. Environmentally friendly materials used in the bathroom are FSC Fir, a recycled glass countertop, low flow toilet and shower head and Green Label Certified, Fabrica carpeting. ![]() |

Gaspar's ConstructionSeattle, Washington
The owners of a 1911 Capitol Hill home wanted a master bath where formerly there was a closet and a hall alcove. They desired a clean, bright space that stays true to the period of the home's character. A cool, fresh palette of silver and white create a luxurious spa experience. Over scale White Carrara marble subway and Hexagon floor tile evoke a classical yet updated theme. Antique pull-chain light fixtures add a touch of something old and compliment the new retro-style fixtures. The final result... a spacious retreat that appears to have always been there. ![]() |
