Permit forms for new construction of a detached garage were submitted in early January. Final approval was received on Feb. 14. Approximately a 5-week process, which was somewhere in the middle of our expectations. Dealing with property easements and a septic system complicated things and required making several trips to county permit offices with design information and other documents -- all handled by our project architect.
Construction work begins Feb. 18.
